About the Project
Established in 2013, the Commission for Children and Young People (Victoria) is an independent organisation consisting of 30 staff, who aim promote activities that improve the lives of Victoria’s children and young people. It promotes innovation in policies and practices relating to the safety and well-being of children and young people, especially those who are vulnerable, and develops and promotes the provision of out of home care services for children.
CCYP asked Starship to develop a new brand for them that reflected their newly conveyed powers at the time. Part of the scope of Starship’s brief was to create a brand icon, brand language and look and feel that conveyed the Commission’s innovative and upbeat attitude to children in need.
Starship created a vibrant, young and visually exciting brand that reflected the youthful purpose and outlook of CCYP, particularly with regards to its purpose in helping to connect children and young people to activities and to each other, as well as in helping them build and enrich their lives. We wished to visually express CCYP’s tagline, ‘improving young lives’, in a meaningful and creative way.
Our brand strategy rolled out across stationery, office fit-out, and over the design for their website.
