Boral Retail

Task

Starship was briefed by Boral Retail to increase sale volumes sold to both supplier and straight-to-home channels and increase product value propositions, particularly with regards to their pavers and tiles. Starship was tasked with running integrated retail sales campaigns aimed at driving traffic to Boral’s Wacol store.

Challenges

Boral Wacol (not known for its retail outlet) is in an industrial suburb, many miles from ‘normal’ shopping patterns, requiring customers to make a special ‘destination’ trip.

Roadmap

Starship developed strategies for pumping retail involving radio spots (4 SX plus 4 OP) bought as 30 x 30 seconds, with live reads and various versions with increasing urgency as the sale progressed. Plus online strategies that integrated core messaging and visuals across a microsite, EDMs, SEM and SEO services, signage, and print collateral. We created a style of photography and print collateral which re-invigorated their products in the minds of their customers.
